Hi Rasa, first things first, please can you introduce yourself!

Hi, my name is Rasa and I am an events Stylist and Planner. I live in SE London with my husband and two daughters.

Please tell us more about your stunning home and how @end_of_the_row came about?

Adam and I lived in a tiny cottage here on the Norfolk/Suffolk border but had decided we wanted to begin our family.

We saw this house for sale and instantly fell in love with its original features and space. We started our Instagram account purely for our own satisfaction of seeing the house change and develop. We actually kept the account private for 2 years because we felt a little embarrassed and ‘showy’ but we eventually set it to public and over the last 7 years it has very slowly grown to what it is today.

Please could you describe your interior style, has it always been the same or has it evolved over time?

We love a maximalist style with bold colour blocks and clashing patterns. I think because our home is a period home, it can take the slightly bolder colours and textures. I would say our recent kitchen extension has taken on more of a Scandi feel. However, we paired that with green units and patterned tiles to bring it in line a little with the rest of the house. Our beautiful kitchen worktops are from Cullifords.

What brands or trends inspire you or your house purchases?

I love new and independent brands, I enjoy picking up pieces from reclaimed yards or second hand shops and although I love the big brands and what they have to offer, I’m very aware that my audience are working families like us on a working family budget.

I think this is the secret to the growth of our account, it’s relatable.

What interior Instagram accounts inspire you, could you name your top ones?

There are so many amazing home accounts but the ones I tend to check out more for inspiration are:

1. @Houselust

2.@Thisonefloats

We love your home and especially the use of muted colours around the home! Do you have any tips on how to style colour?

I always think it’s best to find one piece of furniture, an ornament, a cushion, a print etc. that you love and then build on that.

Take inspiration from its colour or pattern and add in elements to the room. I think texture should also be taken into account. Layer colours and fabrics to create depth and don’t be afraid to clash colours, it makes it more interesting.

If you had to change one thing in your home what would it be and why?

The bathroom. It’s a really lovely bathroom but the space and plumbing make it such a tricky room to alter.

If we didn’t have children who love a bath then we would rip it all out and have it as a big wet room with beautiful tiles but that just wouldn’t work for our family at the moment.

We adore your daughter’s room! Do you have a favourite space in your lovely home?

I love the kitchen. Our house is quite dark but the Velux Roof light and the sage cupboards just make it feel so airy and bright.

What's your favourite home purchase you have made

recently and is there anything on your wishlist?

My new sofa cushions. They are only really simple colours and patterns but just changing that one element has really freshened up the room and given it a different feel.

A new TV cabinet for the lounge is on my wishlist. I’d like something vintage but can’t seem to find the perfect one!

And finally, what does the future hold for @END_OF_THE_ROW? is there anything left up your sleeve?

I think we have got a house move left in us!

Our house has brought us so much joy, it’s the home we welcomed our children into and the house we came back to after our marriage but as our family grows, so does the need for a bigger outdoor space. I’m thinking a renovation project in a more rural setting would be the plan but watch this space!
